Extinction Rebellion smash windows of Barclays Bank HQ | Editor’s picks

Police have arrested a gaggle of environmental activists who smashed the home windows of Barclays’ London headquarters on Wednesday to protest in opposition to the financial institution’s “continued investments in actions that immediately contribute to the local weather and ecological emergency”.

Seven members from the Extinction Rise up group have been detained following the protest exterior the financial institution’s Canary Wharf workplace, after they pasted the message “In Case of Local weather Emergency Break Glass” on the entrance of the constructing.
